Visits to Parliament House

Information officers organise visits to Parliament House for groups of guests who wish to learn about Althingi and its work. It is important that group visits are organised well in advance. 

Guided tours in the building are only availabe outside the session time and are guided by one of Althingi´s Information Officers.

Meetings of Althingi can be observed from the public gallery, and are also broadcast on TV and on the Internet. Althingi normally convenes four days a week, from Monday to Thursday: on Monday at 3 pm, on Tuesday at 1.30 pm, Wednesday at 3 pm, and on Thursday at 10.30 am. The gallery entrance is on the east side of the building (B on the picture below).

Parliament House is located at Kirkjustraeti on Austurvöllur square in Reykjavík, Iceland. The main entrance is via the Skálinn annexe (A on the picture below).
